I'm never speeding again
I never stick to the limit these days, gonna have to start to. There is a road i use about 5 times a day which is a 30 limit, i always find myself doing 50 - 70. There is no way it should be a 30 though.

one of my mates was pulled for doing 104mph coming off the edinburgh bypass and they told him to expect a letter in the next few days, that was nearly 50 days ago. What are the chances of him getting away with it? He got flashed doing 90mph by a camera the other day so if he has to go to court and both convictions are mentioned i presume hes going to have to get used to the bus for a while?

There are no signposts on the A1, and streetlamps in places, so does that make it a 30 limit??
Just because there are streetlights, doesn't make it a 30mph limit. Usually it's common sense to de careful when there are no signs though...
There has to be streeetlighting, with the lampposts 30m apart (i think) to show it's a 30mph limit, but how are we supposed to know how far 30m is when sitting in the drivers seat??

it's not always clearly stated though, it's possible to come out of a 30mph sidestreet and turn onto a 40mph limit some places near me, no signs, so you could end up doing 40 down the 30, although, it is residential i guess...
There's a road near me, coming one way there are signs saying it goes from a 30 to a 40 limit, but at the other end of the road when you're coming the from other way it says it goes from a 30 to a 60 limit. The signs aren't always consistent, i've always wondered what would happen if someone got pulled on that road for speeding, as one way it's 40, and the other way it's 60! With a 30 limit at each end!
