You dont need to strenthen the engine bay on a corsa for the XE, you'd be suprised how strong the shell is.

but there are v6 in corsa without(i think)

It would invlove metel getting welded into (susp turrents etc) make your engine bay stronger, funily enough


i have B cracks any recommendations on patching them up? had a looksie under the panel, there is like another bit of metal spot-welded in the pillar which is right over the bit i need to get to from the underside

I take it B crack are the door pillars if so i've got them too, only way to fix them are too get them welded up.

My mates tried to tell me this too... I was like, um, you know jack about Corsa's, where as the people supplying and fitting my engine/kit eat, drink and sleep Corsas...

It's just people trying to rain on your parade...

yeah b-pillars, but I heard just welding them they will crack again over time & are never the same, I was thinkin about welding small plates on the underside of the pillar, but there is no way of getting anything in there

fit ful cage body shops know how to fix this sofind out how but the cage should sort any stiffness issues

Thing is 150 lb-ft really isn't *that* much to be honest, and the engine mounts should take most the twist anyway...

specially the brute i've got on order hehe

i'll have a word with my uncle about it, certainly knows his stuff about bodywork/panel beating/welding/chassis design - just thought i'd ask on here first

I'm sure you dont need a full cage to sort out a few b-pillar cracks lol, a good bodyshop will sort it out.

or do what i did.... pay PVD to find the car etc, CossVaux to strip it, fit cage, brakes, susp, engine, seats, harnesses
