To be honest Im not really into "loud" either. Its just the price you have to pay when you modify a car that far! To be honest when your in a stripped out car with throttle bodies you cant hear the exhaust anyway!
I still think the best sounding exhausts for the XE are the ones made by JP in Macclesfield!

THe best sounding Corsa B has to be a Group A 1600 A friend has one and they are unbelieveably quick!!!

Gavin managed to get my Dreamweaver working, so squeezed these 2 onto my site. Thanks for offer to host - I may need you to do this for the longer clips (I sometimes have probs uploading big files).

D4's 1.4 16v used to sound fantastic, had many a comment about it, jsut was slooooooowwww
2.0 has a bit of a rasp, but it soudns really good on full chat.
Otherwise Andy Hamiltons at 9000rpm.
Or Lucky B's at 8000rpm

andy sounds nice enuff but iv heard better dunno what u's are all drooling over!!
imo 1.4/1.6 16v's sound mint...
jesus even my car sounds well only a back box and a filter but jesus its grunty and loud! (not too loud tho )

When you've got 240bhp per tonne under your right foot, the noise is somehow less important. But there's no denying that TBs sounds superb on any engine, especially the little 1600s
