Since i smashed me GSI up, i have been given a hire car a FOCUS, had it 2 months now, the first one was a 1.8 Zetec like you want, it was no where near as quick as my GSI, i hated it and on the day i got it, it broke down, the gearbox sender went i didnt know my speed and neither did the ECU so it kept cutting out, it was a brand spanker they only took delivery of it that week, NUFF SAID
Second focus a 1.6 even slower hate it, oh and the stereo has packed up
LOL
Never buy a ford

ok i know thres a lot of people who say Fix Or Repaid Daily etc. but weve had fords in my family all my life my mums old escort mk5 1.8lx diesle had been round the clock three times b4 any major work had to be carried out (due to my dad hitting a very big curb) and that never ever failed us in 5 years of owning it! now we yet again have a K plate escort 1.8 16v ghia thing. its had a few niggles but other than that, nothin wrong. then of course my nxt door neighbour whos cavalier was broke down all the time. i think it depends how a car is looked after personally.

Have to agree with you big man, it doesnt matter what type of car it is, what year it was made etc, if its looked after properly, it'll run smoothly.

Yet until last month when the new corsa beat it, the Focus has been the highest selling car for months!!!
Not fast as standard, but the Zetecs are tunable and love turbo conversions. I just hate the interiors and dash.
