Most top speeds would rise slightly, its just altering the airflow and making the route more direct. Should raise a few mph. Best of raising the limiter also as that is where peak power is gained.

With the Dbilas throttle bodies on peak power will come in just over 7,000rpm so you'd need to get your rev limit raised to raise your top speed.

My top speed was around 130mph at 7,000rpm. Not enough power after that.

Has that figure been dyno'd? Seems pretty high at that rpm for your spec!

At the Corsa Vs Saxo day my speedo was reading 125mph but on the Datatron equipment that worked out to be 115mph.

Maybe on the speedo.

Andy Hamiltons 214bhp 1.6 16v on F15 gearbox only done that, and thats got a 9000rpm limiter.

Think your Rollers were WELL overreading Your be expecting morelike 110-115bhp very tops with that.

Most 1.6 i've seen ont he rollers peak the power at 5500-6000rpm with standard inlet manifold system. Or have you got a new inlet manifold system?

It wont be making that power with those mods im afraid.

check further up thr thread lads he also has a dbilas inlet manifold and unichip so i reckon around the 140bhp mark is pretty realistic

With my dbilas throttle bodies my power was around 140 without the internal works but that was over 7,000rpm. Can't see you getting 145bhp on standard limiter or without extra fuel being supplied.

hhmmm im hoping for 140BHP and when my car goes on the rollers soon and thats a C16XE engine with Mantzel power box, Lexmaul Manifold, cat back Magnex Exhaust system, Pipercross Viper induction kit, Stage 2 ported and polished head, fully re-build engine, all lightened and blanced, superchip (cheers daimo/donna) magnecore leads, spitfire plugs, its had a rebore with oversized pistons so it slightly more than a 1600, if you can get 140 BHP with that spec i must be able to get quite a bit more!!!

thats a lot of work greasemonkey, if u go by the gains that these companies claim to give once u fit there products u'd expect alot more than 140bhp. as velos claim to give 147bhp from theyre plenum inlet manifold and a unichip and re-map, but i dunno how can u beleive this? 40bhp for just over a grand seems to good to be true, and how can u prove theyre dyno is giving a realistic reading??? i was considering i though as it seems to be best value for money, although i think dbilas are about a fgrand aswell but dont think this includes a chip, but mayb im wrong

VELOS stiff is good, its just the build quality aint so good, but if yu aint into show and shine who cares eh, to get a good RR resut you have to take the adverage from a couple of RR places, no 2 will be the same!!
If you added up all the gains manufacturers claim from there products etc i would be hoping for over 150BHP but there figures are always too high.
Mantzel power box for the C16XE gains 22bhp if you fit it to other corsa engines it only gains 20BHP, the C16XE is tops for tuning up to a point anyway

yeah im at the stage noe where i want standard looks, good suspension and brakes and just keep the car mint and tune the nuts out of it, that way u get more laughs when u see the smiles quickly dissapear on the bigger motors drivers when ur sailing past at 7000rpm

i dont think id bother with a boost valve mate unless uve got the spare cash as u've already got the unichip set up with the mantzel inlet and fuel pressure increased havent u? suppose it depends on the price of it too....

Nope deffo not.

Paul Belsham had one on his GSi, went back on the RR 3-4 times before it got setup properly and only gave 2bhp. Fueling on the corsa is good anyway hence why the fuel pump is ok for the 2.0 conversions.
