guys, do u know any PC software that i can use to simulate distortion and other guitar fx?
My amp is broken, gonna get a new one in the summer.
I can connect the guitar to the 'line in' and is working, but can't find any software to alter the input.

wtf?
a Bass guitar only has 4 strings mate...
I think the joke here, is that if u can play electric poorly, you can play bass.
In my music classes at school all the bass players couldnt master guitar so learnt bass instead
I would recomment learning on an electric, as it is easier, and that way you can learn faster finger movement.
www.ultimate-guitar.com is a good website for tabs.

Since posting about owning an electric two years ago I bought an acoustic and my guitar playing has come on further with that than it did with the electric.
There's more discipline to it, its not just turn on the distortion and hope for the best, plus you can pick it up and use it without the faffing of powering it up and plugging everything in.

I learnt bass about 4 years ago and got a cheap electric off a mate and had no problems picking it up Then again I am an exceptional talent
My Electric guitar got smashed at a drunken band practice. And since repairing it and spraying it pink it isnt the same. Theres like an inch travel near the end of the fret board
Think I might buy a cheap acoustic.
