Yes I have Infinity comp's and 6x9's. I have no complaints with the speakers themselves, although I'd recomend subs rather than 6x9's.

I haven't got a clue about ICE either but i'm gonna set mine up as follows:
Slot CD player, maybe .Mp3
Front - standard 13" speakers
Back - 8 * 9s or something around that size
Boot - sub woofer of some kind, dunno yet -- maybe a kit with amp and sub
Will go for good makes i think such as Alpine, SONY, Kenwood etc.

First big question Tracey is how much bass are you going for? As this is a BIG bulk of the costs.
I myself have two 12's a load of amps and an extra battery in the boot. It goes pretty loud but if you want your car to be musically loud i'd look at some quality components upfront which are amped with 100rms and perhaps some rear components or 6 x 9's. I recently took a sub out so I ran on just a single 12 and I found it sounded better, also with just running the one sub their is no need for the exta battery as power drain wont be as much!
All im trying to say in concentrate upfront first and work your way back. THE most critical bit is the front speaker/s as these produce 90% of what you hear.
