Think what you like mate, especially when you dont know the circumstances or driver i suggest you shut the hell up with your crap accusations. Wether he was driving over the limit or not, its not for you or anyone else to criticise as i garunte everyone speeds at sometimes and lets face it, in an 4wd rally homologination(i think thats the word!, who wouldnt admit to feeling relatively safe.

As for swerving to hit the cat, yeah i bet everybody wuold say they wouldnt but you really cant say unless you were in the situation. Ok so its his mistake, dont yu think hes paying for it now

yup definatly paying for it
dont tell me to shut up public forum i can say pretty much what i want
im saying what i think may have happened
and regardless anyway
ass when the insurance inspector sees the tyres
i cant tell from pic but they dont look legal

so yes he will be paying for it

acusation btw is me sayin you were speeding
what i said was, i think he was speeding

so dont be too quick to defend as it incriminates more.

and hes lucky to be alive imo

at the end of the day most people speed , in this instance if he wasnt speeding there is a high chance this wouldnt of happened, he will learn from his mistakes , speed and you pay for it one way or another.

The road is a 60mph limit, he says he was doing 70-80. It is not overly dangerous to do this speed. On occasions ive done it myself and ive seen many many more do it also.

I think even if he was driving at the legal limit he still would of hit something wether it be the same tree, a wall or far worse an oncoming car is only for me to speculate.

I did not put this here to show you the car, i want you all to think about the consequences of speeding and also how easily things like this happen. After seeing the car my mate is very lucky to be alive and it certainly hits home when you see the results as i have today. I just thank whatever it was that saved his life because it could of been so much worse

on a national speed limit road. ok then
but i know you say it could have been worse i seen somthing that might scare you more.
imagine if it was the rear/side of the car that hit the tree not the side
he would have been spun into all them other trees

Is that rear tyre bald? Cos that will effect the insurance wont it???

He's a luck lucky man to survive that one, and it definatly hits home when you see something like that.

yeah police and ambulance were called. police arranged the removal of the car.

the tyres looked dodgy to me but it i dont know wether the lack of tread could be incurred from the skid leading to the crash...

not sure what the issue with insurance is yet. prbably find out later in the week

I doubt that a skid would wipe out a significant ammount of tread..

Just get him to swap tyres before the insurance company look at it

Ive had a similar thing involving cats, on two seperate occasions.. both times I made the same choice...

Ive cost 'Felix' a few cat food sales

thing is, if some thing jumps out infront of ur car, u react, u either swerve or slam the brakes on. dont matter if its a rabbit or a child, u stil react because its not normal! tbh, if something comes put infront of me, i slam the brakes on and hope for the best! this bloke obviously tried to swerve!

rear tyre does look a lil dodgy tho, might wana get that sorted

the road is double lane merging into one on the side he was drivin (up hill) and one lane down hill. I assume its a 60mph limit but i guess its possible to be a 70 limit where there are two lanes going up hill.

The picture is decieving there is tread on the tyre its just very worn around the edge. there not really much you can do to the car now its in the recovery companys yard...

if the idiot knew how to control a car and get some new tyres on that then it may have been a slight skid and not a tree plant.

all i can say is, haha. serves him right.
