Yes, lack of torque and you really need to know how to drive the car properly to get the best out of it.
And seeing as most Type-R drivers are ex-Saxo drivers they cannot drive at all.

well said, it's a decent enough car for the money. Torque isn't great no but drive it properly and that really doesn't come into play. I like the way people slate something when they drive a corsa/nova etc

Yes, we don't like it due to the fact we like everyday cars and not stupid arse cars that need the nads revved off them to actually beat anything in a race.

well hang on, during a race surely the best way to make your car travel at its quikest possible speed is to rev your engine to where peak power comes in, which is usually somewhere near the redline
therefore every car during a race gets the tits revved off it surely

Exactly, the civic will win the races because as the others get 2 high revs they go off whereas the civic is still goin strong

6.8 seconds 0-60 is not to be sniffed at in terms of off the mark performance
and 16.9 0-100 isnt too shabby either

Civic TRs would wipe the floor with most people's cars on here. Yes, they don't have much torque for a 2L, but their ability to rev means that with the gearing to multiply up that torque, they can produce more effective torque at the wheels than most other 2L performance cars. Obviously, it does require a driver with half a brain to work out how to drive them to extract their full potential, but you can't realy blame the car for that. My 2 pence worth

0-100 is good, apart from that I would never own one, drive one or be seen in one.
I would not want to be tarred with the same brush as a Saxo driver.

To be fair there is a reason 4 the comparisons, VTS's and CTR's are very reasonabty priced an within the range of people our age so u r bound 2 get tits driving them occassionally, i drive like one sometimes as well!!
