Everyone told me steam cleaning was a bad idea?
They all told me horror stories and I decided not too. Were they wrong?

Gunk engine degreaser works a treat. Simply work it in the awkward parts with a paint brush, then rinse off with clean water from a low pressure hose. Could eat your dinner off my engine

I just gave it a rub with the same Autoglym polish as I use on the paintwork, it surprised me how bright it came up.

I don’t think it would be necessary to jet wash and use gunk etc as your car is still fairly new. all you need is a cloth and wash all the dirt off with car shampoo. Then dry and use a plastic/rubber protectant.

I use Armour All or Auto glym tyre dressing, which also can be used on the engine bay. both work a treat and mine still looks brand new

I've not touched the engine in the pic above, its 12 months old and thats how it looks. All I did was rub a bit of polish in the manifold cover as it was looking a bit tarnished.
Gunk is what I've used on previous engine bays that were originaly oily etc.
