To be fair though Fwaza, the amount taken by bodybuilders is far more than what's prescribed for medical conditions

for the most part perhaps... v. high conc. used in some medical applications tho...
That wasnt my argument however? I was illustrating in response to an earlier point that 'drugs' such as steroids are 'Bad'...

Obv. i wouldnt recommend the use on anabolic steroids for such a purpose, but to be honest most of the urban myths about side effects are pish... lol

Yeah i know mate

It's just that alot of doctors don't have a clue about steroid use in the bodybuilding community, to be honest i don't expect them to either, as i doubt their educated about it.
I know of one doctor who knows everything about roids and what goes with it... but he juices himself

They have many possible side effects, but yes i agree, side effects are still guranteed (not generally visible side effects like hair loss, oily skin etc - but elevated liver enzymes, high blood pressure etc).

Do a search on google or something, too many to list. Side effects with steroid use is hyped up, but there are many possible side effects that could occur.

Red_Sxi, how long have you actually been training? I mean seriously training, with a proper BB'ing diet?

Steroids certainly are not muscle in a bottle, and if you're training and diet isn't sorted, you still wont grow, no matter how much gear you take.
Expect big ugly stretch marks too, if you're pretty small or don't train much, and you jump into gear you'll get them.

Also, alot of newbies don't like the idea of injecting IM, and think taking oral steroids is easier - which infact is potentially more dangerous as 99% of oral steroids are 17aa (liver toxic) and will punish your liver. If you decide to inject, you've got the danger of doing it wrong - most newbies don't aspirate, swab etc (you aspirate to see if you're in a vein) - so there you have potential extremley dangerous potential, you don't want to inject into a vein - it could be deadly.

It isn't a game, in an ideal world i don't see the point of juicing unless you have ambitions of competeing (bodybuilding, or strength athletes).
