perhaps... but people only remember him for the goal he scored in Euro 96. Hardly worth it otherwise was he.
Our problem isn't in midfield anyway, scholes, gerrard, beckham, lampard, wright-phillips, (Dyer is keck). It's scoring the goals!!

Terry is good no doubt about it.
There's no way you can blame Leeds' failure on Robinson. Look at the players in front of him, load of $hite and he deserves to go to a better club.
As for Wayne Bridge, don't get me started on him. He had a crap game last time he played in a friendly, if memory serves he only got 20/30 mins anyway.
David James couldn't catch even if he tried! But then again look at the choice Sven has got to pick from, not a lot is there.

i think that we wont even get out of the first stage 
the squad doesnt gel as good as previous years (ie world cup 2002) and players who have experience in playing in big competitions but arent in the squad (such as rio) will be greatly missed!

The fact is Sven has chopped and changed the team round so much during friendlies they can't possibly gel together like you say GAV. It's a bit like Chelsea I guess.

think it's going to be a good tournament...............
doesn't bother me if england do good or bad....not fussed.....
think they will deffo get to 1/4's though...
i think beckham is the key..if he's on form the team play better............
Also heskey will play better due to Beckhams deliveries into the box

Right not read any of this thread but here are my views on this boring boring squad!
Ian Walker - WHY???? Why pick a goalkeeper that is not likely to ever pull on an England shirt again when he could have taken our future talent Robert Green. Even if Green didnt play it would be invaluable experience for him for the future as he is bound to figure in the England set up again.
Phil Neville - WHY??? He is clearly shit! He is the reason for us getting knocked out of 2 of our last 3 tournaments!!
Nicky Butt - WHY??? He cant even get into the Utd team but somehow is deemed good enough for England, chances are he'll start ahead of Lampard too!! Lampard got nominated for player of the season and has not missed 1 Chelsea league game.
Joe Cole - WHY??? Over-rated and has scored 2 goals all season.
Darius Vassell - Not good enough at all, is by no way Englands 4th best striker. Alan Smith and Jermain Defoe have both scored more and are both better than Vassell.
If only Sven opened his eyes and didnt choose such dull squads.
