I read somewhere they have the dB meter at 45 degrees to the horizontal, 0.5m away from the exhaust, and test the car a 3/4 throttle. Good luck though mate! My neighbours have complained about mine once, but ive been very considerate down my road since then

I failed the test

esult of test was failure

I got 104.5db and it was on 88db before they started reving the car! And it was checked at 5200rpm.

Have to get it toned down....
Booked it in for monday at 1pm, so will still be loud for PVS

Heres how they test it:

Start the car up....
He mesures distance from car and the angle and sets the equipment up....
He then gets out the calculator so he can work out what he needs you to rev it to...
He said 5200ish.... he then asked me to take it to that the best i could - it was going all over I was nervious
Anyways when its about right place he looks as the screen and takes the reading

Thats that done

Loud exhausts arnt even good tho.

Its not even like you have a fast or powerful car.

Very tacky and annoying IMO.
