thanks for opinions, i had expected it to be a bit less black than it is, when i first saw it i was a bit , ummmm ok then LOL
But after a couple of days its really growing on me, must admit, i like it with the boot lock/wiper gone, but i still want a practical car.

Yeah i agree, before i saw the "before" pics, i thought it was just flat no ridges. Matches the lights though, i like it a lot.

a lot of the not seeing the ridges is down to the camera not picking them out in the black ,as there is soo much white.
In real life u can see them honest LOL!!

Id take it back to the bodyshop. They've oversprayed onto the backlights. The standard of workmanship these days......

Black just makes it look like u've cut that section out, thus spoiling it.
A dark metallic grey/anthacite would have looked better.
Matt
PS: apologies if this has already been said, but i cant be bothered to read hole post

i love it, brilliant idea.
i would say the wiper lets it down a little though.
cos my cars black i got away with taking my wiper off and putting a black plug in the hole.
u could get a plug and paint it white and put it in, i've seen it done on a red astra and it looks better than havin a wiper.
just an idea, it means in the winter i can just bolt the wiper back on when its needed.

I did think it would be more grey than it is, but as i say in real life you can still see it all, just the camera cant pick up anything dark when the majority of the picture is white!
I have thought about removingwiper, but it would look 'bodged' in my eyes and i dont do bodged. If i ever do do it it will be got rid of permanent and all welded up.

Looks good mate. I think a smooth tail gate would sort it completely... Maybe different lights too - but not sure if any company makes lights that would fit in better.

Well i have seen plenty of cars with bumpers that have that area blacked as stanfdard, usually a plastic insert and i like the look it creates.
This was the best i could do cheaply to replicate that look.... and as i say in real life u can see the lugs still and its not as black as in pics.
