my last two girl friends have called an eveining meal dinner thing is one was a stuck up bitch who was prim and proper and the other has lived on a dodgey'ish side of town all her life!

oh and i live in the midlands but my parents are from ooooop norf.

I sometimes say lunch sometimes dinner, but tea is tea i.e. Team time

I don't say bread cakes or eat chip spice or wotever either

roll is like a cob, bread cake, barn cake, barmey what ever you call it.

bacon buttie is made using a slice or two of bread.

no the meal you have about 6pm at home is TEA.

if your getting taken out for a meal in the evening its OUT FOR A MEAL.

the meal you have at 12 noon is DINNER.
