as a general rule, i'd say look at the car your selling as it sits there, add up all the money spent on the car which is being sold. Half that and add it to the value of the car and you should come out with a price not too far off the mark. Glass's Guide and Cap etc. are GUIDES for the motor trade to work with. A trader could have 3k profit in the screen price of the vehicle so could then offer 1k over book value and still make decent profit. Thats what its used for, as a GUIDE. Not as a set out rule of what every car under those conditions is worth.

fair comments ppl some very good advice.

including what i think is a fair value of the car & adding how much ive spent i think 6k is a fair price to ask.

not being funny mate, but i cant see you getting that sort of money for it, i more than agree you will have spent more than that on it and it is a nice car however ppl can get quite a nicer and bigger second hand car these days for that price, anyway hope you get what you want for it, and im not having a go as i know i would be in same position if i ever wanted to sell on.

wheels r on there way over from america so maybe when theyre on my passion will commence for it again
