well saying that - if you happen to walk into a stationary car which is parked on the pavement, you can sue the owner
lol, imagine someone doing that

Ian, its a kind of lay by. Theres a sandy clearing at the roadside about a metre wide or so. on which i was parked, with my sidelights on.

This story kinda reminds me of when my car was parked at the side of the road and got hit.
However, it got hit in a different manner, and thankfully with less damage than Corb's!
I was parked at the side of the road, wheels only slighty on the pavement, and some old dear came along and starting knocking on my window, shouting and stuff about how she couldn't get past cos of my car - but there was loads of space. This was an old lady maybe 80-85 yrs old! I was inshock for a second and then started to laugh at her, which obviously pissed her off even more. She walks off eventually, and just as I'm about to start the engine - BANG - what the fucck was that?. She cracked the back of my car with her walking stick! An OLD lady!
I could feel my blood boiling but what could i do - she was scurrying back across the road away from me and at the end of the day, it was a frail old lady- a hard hitting rugby tackle crossed my mind though.
All I could muster was "you silly old woman!". It's poor I know, but i was still shocked by the whole event. Luckily there was no damage to the car, thank god.

Nah arnie, happened over this way.
Greasemonkey, this has prompted me to sell the car. Spending another couple hundred quid sorting bits and bobs on the car getting it into mint condition for the next owner. Dont want it going on in not PERFECT condition. Want a Mk4 Astra Turbo now, gonna drive a shitter for a few months, while i save up few grand to get a nearly new GSi. Other option is to get a loan or finance on the difference.

right if the car was parked it doesnt matter which side of the road its on it is her fault. report her to the police and give her registration details to your insurance company if she been arsey.
