tunign the 1.6 is fun, i am well happy with how mine goes, think it will be edging over140 now with the decat and some good ht leads ok, its not as instant power as the 2.0ltr but it all depends on what u want!

140 mark are you takin the piss lol as im unsure,

the 1.6 gearbox is limited to approx 125 so you aint goin no faster lol that pic in ur avatar the speedo is readin out

andy's 220 bhp 1.6 tops at 135 so he told me lol

tuning a 1.6 is very rewarding and ive never been against it ppl's choice at end of day but the reason we tune is to get power YES ???? so why spend 2-3 times the amount more than 2.0 conversion to not even gain red top power in the first place

in fact you need more power from a 1.6 16v engine than red top to just keep with a red top engined corsa as donna gsi proved, it had 160bhp and 2.0 still won.

but to all who tune 1.4/16's

hows sellin goin broster anyway

Horsepower, not MPH

And its rev limit and box that decides top speed, not box alone!

Broster, ignition leads wont do jack unless there is a problem with your current ones.

LMFAO at the 1.6 box (F15) being limited to 125mph.

Just dropping a C20XE in would be alot easier for good power.

I still think Donna's 160bhp is an over read, with a less torque.

id say C20XE is easier and a much better option tbh. for the money you can get C20XE conversions done now, i'd recomend that.

first of all astra is heavier. so power to weight ratio is not much disimilar to my corsa. and my torque figures are at 130llb/ft. my car hits rev limiter at 132mph. but will go more when i get rev limiter raised. and my gearbox is close ratio. so when racing astra gsi's on the street i keep wi them. gte's are a different story.

F15 gearbox with 6750RPM limiter will do just about 133mph if the engine has the power to get it there.

I had a genuine 136mph with my F15, would easily have done 140 if I had the balls/road.

8k Limit. I didn't get there in 5th, that would be around 160mph!

8k in 4th is about 125mph!
