were would i order that from?? alpine?

how would i get perminat live from the battry?

suchcorsa is gonna come round now, and test my headunit in his car coz he has the same, then i'll know what the problem is.

lol mate, yea thats a pretty good idea If the HU works then wire a perm live to battery (u2u richie on what gauge wire, but i think something like 8 gauge would be fine) and pop an inline fuse (to rating of the HU)

As for new wiring harness, try www.caraudiodirect.com and see if they have one (i believe they do). If that fails, then contact alpine support

can see any on CAD.com

the wire i need plugs into the HU adn then has ISO conector on the other end to fit onto the corsa plug.

The 4x60w units require a permanent live feed from the battery and a better ground im sure??

ye it does, but we didmnt do it like that :S

suchy has just been round, my worse fears were confirmed

try and get it on warranty then or if the wiring is pretty good, then wrap it back up and send it back saying it was faulty on arrival

All your wiring should have been secure and done by the book, including the live from the battery.

also noticed another problem, when i shut/ open the drivers side window, i have to keep my hand on the button, normally juts press if for a few seconds and it does it its self :confused: passagnerr side is ok

just take the window all the way down, then hold the button down for about 5 seconds, and do the same when you put it back up

windows fine, and i ended up buying a new headunit same one but this years model

200quid but got it on finance

its all sound now, just hope it dont set on fire again

well hope its cool and everything mate
if it is a 4x60w version and you are using the amp on the HU, then make sure you have a perm feed from the battery ie: dont take the power from the cars ISO block, but wire up an 8gauge with an inline fuse (near battery) to the battery

If not, then it should be ok, but people still say you should wire up a perm feed anyways
