Looks even better in the metal just out of shot is my new XE sitting on an engine stand waiting to be played with a bit , Martin is a top geeza from first impressions and i also think his knowledge of XE's is second to none. I think i would like to move into one of his garages
Ollie and Joe join the queue as fads brown derrier is mine first

So is £900 the going rate for a re-build then!
As i may be stupid and that but if i do a XE conversion i want one that is a good runner and they all have a few miles on them now!
Can lee sort this during the conversion?

looks awesome now.
not entirely sure on the paint on the block. looks a bit too glossy to me, but the whole thing is pretty spanking.
out of curiosity, what's the benefit of the LET lifters?
and would it not be beneficial to fit higher lift cams now to help make use of the oversized pistons?
what's the new displacement?

2100cc approx displacement, i believe high lift cams and a mappable ecu will be on the agenda soon.

the new displacment is 2050cc as it leave room for a reborre if anything goes wrong
not fiting cams yet as i am getting a costcast head thats been ported and flowed with new valves, uprated springs, brand new lifter and high degree cams
the let lifters are solid i belive and the std cams are jst temporaru as my old ones were scorred

not sure if this is the going rate as a lot of the bits was sorted out for me by a mate and rebult by him too
but if the engines out of the car it shouldnt be much more than that

sounds like your spending quite a bit on it then.
will be a beast when it's finished.
what pistons you got? 87mm?
you could probably get exchange pistons reprofiled and give them back the scored ones.

hopefully a beats maybe TB's depends if i get the turbo bug or not
pistons are 87mm but if i went up to 2.1 if i fucked the pistons the block would be deems dead so leaves room for error
still got to pay out for all my new CV's doh
