nah its 12k but u dont have to pay anything out of it, u get 12k in ur bank, thats after food, board taxes etc. its a safer way of life, and an ok 1 if u dont mind doing jack shit, but it aint as fun. but then again, u can arrest the bloke in charge of the RAF even though ur a pleb at the bottom

my dad was in for 20 yeasr and on traffic/TAS/motorway for 17 of them, he misses it sooo much but its not the same as it was, the bosses dont like you to chase anymore, when that would be the best bit. How else can you do 150mph in a senator 3.0 down the M62 though

I've just applied to several forces and hope to go into training next April/May (apparently application can take 6 months!).
Hoping to join either the Metropolitan (London) police, Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire, Surrey or Thames Valley police.
Yep its 2 years before you can branch out. I'm hoping to join either the Firearms unit (always wanted to join the armed forces but never had the balls to train!) or Special Unit which deals with terrorism.

It is 2 years before you can specialise but traffic, armed response etc won't take you on unless you have done about 3-4 years minimum. you won't have learnt enough in two years.
i've done just over 3 years and have been accepted for part 1 of my firearms course , also it is unlikely that you will get any sort of driving course until you have been in around 1 3/4 years.
we have just got 2 evo 8 330 traffic persuit cars, which is making me have second thoughts about firearms!!
