nah, the insects are damn cool out here, ever seen an ant as long as half your little finger? the spiders are damn cool too, especially the huntsman's, they are hooooge! Got in the pool the other day and there was a redback underneath the lip going round the pool edge, i splashed it with water, it got out so i sprayed it with mortein.

probably not, it wasnt a full grown male so it would have made me collapse, but not die. unless it got in a frenzy and bit me loads, then i would have been in trouble. Our dog found a Funnelweb in our garden too. The most dangerous spider in the world. nasty fooker, was as big as a your palm too, and thats just its body. One bite from the male and you are dead within an hour if it injects venom. They are very vicious too, will lunge at you if feels threatened, so you could imagine my mum when little louis the maltese runs indoors with a funnelweb in his mouth.

black widows are from the americas, and not as deadly as the redback or funnelweb

Well it bit the dog and my mum quickly sprayed it with Mortein Outdoors and waited for it to die. Rushed dog to vets but the venom is not dangerous to any other animals apart from humans. Atraxatoxin is the venom and is probably one of the most dangerous chemicals to the human body. dog is fine, just had to have antibiotics for the bite.
