Hence why only my passenger door is de-locked

You can pop the bonnet easily enough from the outside of the car - we've done it enough times with various cars at PVD.
Once that's up, you can play with the battery and alarm to your hearts content.

Pull on the black cable mate, short sharp tug, it'll knock the bonnet off the little latch thing, then just open as normal, u wanna pic?

Why isn't there an extra wire coming from the + terminal on the battery to the bottom of the engone bay for these sorts of problems?

cars are easy to get into u'd be suprised!! few select tools and u can get in very easily!
an example, rx7 took about 3 mins to get into when i managed to lock keys inside car (yes well done me)
my old e36 328 took about 20mins, does show there is a difference and a reason why bms are expensive!

nismo will be happy with that mate

although a new rx7 is actually more expensive than a 328 (well if they still made the rx7 etc).

eitherway, i would have installed an external connection point on the car where you could connect a battery for this type of situation. Or fit a backup battery for the locks and a simple circuit to switch from the main battery to the backup when voltage drops below a certain point - like 2volts etc

had a quick go at trying to open the bonnet from underneath the car & i couldnt do it

is there somekind of easier way to open the bonnet?

an rx7 is more impressive then any bmw new or old

just the time it takes to get into them is not.. hehe

phone the AA, they come out and open your car for you. when u lock the keys in ect..
