Yeah but liverpool vic wont charge any extra!
how you work that out?
most modding insurers, like Hic, LV etc will allow all modifications apart from if the mods increase the power of the car - ie: inductions, exhaust and especially a turbo . Therefore, you will have to pay extra.
However, saying that i dont think you will get bummed raped as much as everyone thinks. at the mo i pay 1100 for my insurance, which is cheap for the first year ive had it ie - i have 0ncb etc. But if i brought one of these then it would probably (having a guess) shoot up to 1700, which is still cheaper than me owning a 2l LET, which the cheapest quote i got was 2400
wrong wrong wrong
Liverpool vic not about my induction kit and my straight thro zorst
they didnt charge my a penny more

if only it was as easy as just getting one off a mini!lol
every tried swinging a spanner in a 1600 ecotect engine bay???never mind superchargers,
only way to go for cheap power iis the xe conversion in my opinion

Stick a C20LET in a Corsa and it'll probably cost more to insure than an X12NZ with a turbo. The LET would be less likely to blow up, though.

wouldnt touch that conversion with a bargepole for a start your pistons will melt when you whack up the boost

yea, i previously stated that the internals wouldnt like it....but the question is, how much boost could you apply with N/A internals? and what performance figures would be typically available?
obviously a LET would be easier, but this would be a cheap insurance option

it's only 6psi and with intercooler, mapping and extra injector it would be fine with standards so long as you got uprated radiator and a oil cooler. probably cost you closer to 2.5-3k at the end
