How ever hit a 2p coin whilst going through a sweeper at 100+ and it's game over time.
All FWD can have lift over steer, nova does it a treat, not the best thing to have, esp on a short whell base, can snap too quick.

thats where learning to drive and most importantly respecting teh car comes in.

still were talking about corsas here, and putting a heavy lump in the front wont do much to improve the handling. no denying its a bloody good lump tho, i wish tehy dropped straight in to a 205, much better to tune than an Mi16, and probably more reliable

Hi Ben, yeah you can drop one pretty much straight in the front of a pug, I'll tell you about it if you come along to a meet, be a fun project for the summer if you're interested
Oh Mi16 is a good engine head design wise, just doesn't make the torque of the XE and the bottom end is pants for reving.

Mi16 is a good engine yeah, good for 200bhp on TBs or 45s, wuold be a very nice project but even that isnt a straight forward fit. when dropped straight in, the manifold will not fit. either a replacement/modified manifold is used (but they produce less torque) or the bulkhead has to be subtly modified (sledge )

this is an awesome article on Mi16 tuning, worth a read if youve got some spare time

spoken to a few close mates, who know a few things about cars. teh idea is liked by many, but brought up the points that its slightly heavier and not as powerful (out of the box) as an Mi16. It was suggested a LET would be better power/weight wise i think that would be pushing the boat tho regards forces on the chassis and the extra weight. plus insurance would be quite wild (im guessing)

WEll if you want to get hold of a LET then we're in business I guess, but would need lots of welding to the chassis to stiffen everything up enough, I've got a few pics somewhere for pugs with redtops and LETS in, show's who's is the btter engine, you can also make a hybrid 20XE bottom end on a Mi16 head which some race teams do apparently, but I think it's very messy personally

i agree, a LET would be BIG project, and when the 205 is my only car i cant afford a big project money or time wise.

i'll still consider an xe, we need to sit down and discuss it in greater detail tho.

hybrid sounds complicated, and as far as i know its the head on the mi16 which lets it down; due it its left hand side oil drainage.

i'll do my best to get to the next meet i guess, we can boar teh other folks with proper car chat

edit: just realised its tomoro :/ i'll try get down there anyhow
