my speedo is spot on at the top end as pople have worked out what it should be doing using the gear ratios and tyre size and my speed is bang on. wit hthe 1.6 i have seen the far side of 130.

Why is it when someone askes a question on here or states that they done this or that speed that most of you feel the need to immediatly shoot that person down???

Almost every person on here that states what speed there doin is either a liar, talkin shit or both.

I'm not starting any arguments here I was just wanting to know why most people on here do this???

I can garentee my speedo to be inaccurate, i followed my dad 98miles, he was in his standard audi i was in my corsa, when we got there his trip counter said he had done 98 miles where as i had done about 80!!!!

because people come on here saying they have a 1.2/1.4 etc and saying they had it at 130, basically bosting about it

if they wanted to find out what the top end is, they would just ask or look in parkers - not say "whats the top end of my xxlt car? ive had it at 250mph"....who fooking cares? if you know anything about cars then you would know that as the needle goes further up the scale, the less accurate it gets. Plus your car manual that have figures in them and even they are stretched abit

my 206bhp ibiza will manage an indicated 140mph. And there are 1.4 corsas doing 120mph and 1.6`s breaking 130mph?

Also fitted my GPS yesterday and my speedo overeads by 4mph.

i had my road angel in mine and was pretty much spot on the speed reading from that, your ibiza will most deffo get to 130 alot faster than my corsa will but i hit the 7200 limiter in 5th and working out wit hthe rations and tyre size that 133mph.

i just don't like hearing about 1.4's doing silly speeds.

1- i own one and its shite
2-think how naff it sounds when its only 90bhp and how many cars can beat that
3-some people actually believe they are going fast

I did this once in a crx del sol and it was fecking scary, the vibrations in the cockpit at those revs, thought it was going to blow up.

took a while on a long road

my 2.0 16v

135 - twatting off the limiter, got there in no time

yup..... there should be a pic in my garage.... it think its doing 130 at start of redline on the pic..... it goes round off the clock after that

Vibrio will know about that too....

I'm tootling along in the supra at about 65..... a merc fly's by...... a corsa screams by and chases the merc to 135

it also smells at 130+
