Bump - saves making another thread!
I just tried fitting my Marea wiper which I got from here:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FIAT-MAREA-WEEKEND-COMPLETE-REAR-WIPER-BLADE-AND-ARM_W0QQitemZ170073798869QQihZ007QQcategoryZ10382QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
But it seems to sit too high. Then when the wiper is operated, it goes onto the rubber seal around the rear window and onto the boot paint.
Here are the pics for comparison - 1st is the standard wiper, 2nd is the Marea:

The Marea wiper can't go horizontal anymore as it's touching the rubber already.
Does it look like I have the wrong one, or is there any modding needed etc? Any help would be really appreciated.

The punto 3dr one is different to the punto 5dr one, the 3dr one has more of a "bend" in the wiper arm where as the 5dr one is more like the one above ^^ and is more straight. If that helps
Normal corsa wiper -

Punto 3dr -

But the auction on eBay (check the link) said it was for a Marea weekend, which is what people have done before. Looks like I might have to exchange it.

People have fitted Marea ones, as I've actually just read the thread One looks identical to the one I have, so I'll have another bash at fitting it. Was probably me being a retard. The eBay shop where I got it from seems pretty good with returns so shouldn't be a problem!

Just looks like it's fitted a bit squint. Take it off and turn it round so it's more level when in resting position, but not quite touching the rubber around the window. The Marea (weekend/estate) one is much better than the Punto wipers.

All you need to do is make sure it is turned round or angled more before you tighten it up so it sits more straight. Go have another go.

Well, I just had another go. Managed to get it level in the rested position but the blade is too long and when at its furthest point in operation, it overlaps onto the rubber and paint work, which isn't really too good.
Hopefully be able to exchange it for a Punto one which seems shorter!

Does no-one else have the problem where the left of the wiper blade doesn't stay on the window?
It's just a lot of people seem to have Marea wipers and haven't mentioned this, yet mine seems to over lap :S

Have you noticed that it overlaps onto the actual boot when you operate it?

I think that should do the job. I don't like the idea of it overlapping onto the boot, going over the rubber seal. I've sent an email to the people on eBay so hopefully should be ok to exchange.

Mine is on the rubber seal when stationary but not when its moving.
Never use my rear wiper anyway.

Why are all those examples on the piss?
Line it up properly and it looks fine. Also Mk1 Wiper is better than Mk2 IIRC

i think the fiat ones, off whatever model, look so much better
they dont wipe as greater area and they are smaller but if someone wasnt too up on cars or corsas i dont think they would notice
plus like matty said, i dont use my rear wiper either, its just there

yup i did this, so much better as a rear wiper just looks gay on a corsa b anyway.. cheap easy mod (about 99p) and looks good on black corsas

only bad thing is you might have some rust underneath (but cant see it on mine unless your close up as the rust is underneath the paintwork).
