i also thought lucy b's corsa did something stupid in terms of speed - like 150 odd if i remember?

but a standard XE in a cav does about 130, so you should be getting about 140 in a corsa i would have thought with it being lighter etc.

But like richie said, its probably your exhaust...i would opt for a straight through and see if that helps

there was standard (well slightly modded) xe corsas at the corsa v saxo day - that got nowhere near 140

Do a search on Mig for more information on converting the engine to carbs and what pressures to use - a guy has just recently converted a 2.0 8v Astra to carbs, he posted a lot of information about the fuel pressures e.t.c... If it is a lack of fuel to the engine you are experiencing thena session on a rolling road will prove that...

bigger carbs wont solve the prob...
125 in 4th isnt the same f20 i have

Mine red lines around 135 in 5th

Top speed for a cav/corsa should be the same if the wheel/tyres are the same..... its down to gearing not the car

the clocks on mine read well over 130 when i hit the limiter, so give or take a wee bit yours should to as the clocks are going to have simlar degrees of error. what exhaust system do you have? sounds like it could e restrictive? northants motorspot hay!
