i ran a 15.4 at best in my XE

got a 15.1 in the past and was hoping to get into the high 14's

lee ran a 16.4 i think in a 140bhp GSi

and ollie ran a best of 17.1 in his 16 16v nova

well i warn you its addictive last time i went to the pod i was a strip virgin and i got hooked and between 3 of us we ran my car 33 tims up the strip

tell me about it... i had no interest in it before...but a few of us got together one night... down a disused road down the Dublin docks no timing gear... just straight races 2 cars at a time what laff it was

P.S we dont have a fecken drag strip in ireland

a car magazine tryed to run it before on a disused airstrip down this country lane there last year... they expected 5000 people to turn up..

instead 30000 people turned up... the venue got completely swaped and he police shut it down on safety grounds

theres supposed to be another one getting done sometime in the new year by the same people but this time they have the organisers of santa pod helping them so hopefully it will work out better.
