if you run f28 in a let car, theres a sensor on the gearbox that knows when you're in 1st, so cuts the boost to help prevent wheelspin. do u have that connected in yours tim?

I've not actually had the car in first gear since August! As at the moment I can't go into 2nd when moving, so I just set off in 2nd.
From what I remember from my 1/4 runs, 1st was spin spin spin, and 2nd was just crazy. Even a 2nd gear launch would spin them up easy. So think it does cut the boost in 1st.
I've a new tactic though. Now I've been bothered to mount my boost controller, I'm going to set off in bottom boost, into 2nd still in bottom boost, then at about 5k in 2nd turn it up, stright away into 3rd, it will still spin a bit in 3rd but at least I'll have my momentum!

Hoping it should knock some time off my best, as time saved in the first 60ft makes a massive difference to the end result!
Today I decided to enter the car in an Event on the 21st November, so I'm on a proper tight schedule to get it ready! Got to convert another F28 and fit it (keeping current one as a spare), sort a petrol leak (only think keeping it off road at the minute), fit some bigger injectors, sort rear brakes as they are letting my braking down, re-locate the headertank and fit a new boost pipe. Plus about 20 other things I can't remember LOL

This year it's been to PVS, Modified Nationals and Trax! You might of seen it and not realised!

LMAO whos bright idea was it to launch in 2nd. I just dropped the clutch at 3k revs, turbo kicked in and revs went up and i didnt go anywhere, clutch slipped big time. Got home, got out of the car and could smell burning, thought it was the fireworks but its my car
