j1400, I believe you should come and look at mine and find the problem with it
Still not as fast as it should be, struggled to keep up with a 1.4 16v Corsa the other night
That doesn't sound right. unless he was stripped and your car is loaded with ICE. have you tried the fault codes to start?
could also be you have a low final and he had a high one, they make a hell of a difference.
Lee is looking into a way to get a diaognostic plug into my loom to see whats wrong with it.
I have a F13CR out of a 1.4 16v Corsa, but my car needs a F15 as its a X16XE.
Do you believe this could cause me problems?
Not likely, I run a F15
Probably the indcution kit causing power loss from a standing start. Mod an airbox.

Its weird, when you first start it up and put your foot down, for instance when you have just filled up with petrol then pull out of the petrol station it goes like shit off a stick.
Then after that, thats it. Slows down, its still fast but not as fast as it should be.

I did think about the fuel pump, but it does'nt stutter or hold back up the strip or when you floor it, revs freely just not hard enough like its missing torque or something.
The amount of fuel makes no difference to it.

I never drive it so it does not bother me, it still manages to do 125mph (on the clocks) on private land and fuel consumption is fine so its not serious.
I'm gonna change the filter what I've got on there for a PiperX foam filter to see if that restores the torque (as per Joffs instructions)

I know, the Nova clocks are notriously inacurate.
I remember my SR clocks reading I was doing 110mph when everyone was going about the same speed on the motorway
