nowhere will let you host whatever you want though  there will always be restrctions as sites are limited by the hosting / server / webspace companies, and laws of different countries

Maybe not, im no expert with computers etc, but surely you can understand id rather pay the 12.50 elsewhere for image hosting/webspace whatever it is where i have less restrictions and the ability to password protect anything that could be seen offensive.

At the end of the day, I'm quite happy to pay £12.50 to Ian and Tim to host pics to which I can hand out links - it's useful for my line of work. Fair enough, it's probably not the best value out there, but I'd rather give them money than some anonymous compnay that may or may not disappear at the drop of a hat.
As for the member offers, I'm planning to ask Flux for a quote, will they still give discounts if i quote my membership number?
I've been drinking, it took a long time to type this coherently. Hope you appreciate it.

Yes this is fine for members who are signing up after the changes. Premium discounts are not advertised to them.
However when I, and basically ALL the premium members signed up. Premium member discounts were advertised as part of the £12.50
I have no problem with the image hosting, the webmail or anything else to do witht he premium member service. To be 100% honest i think its a fantasic system Tim and Ian have created and i am currently on my second years worth.
However i, and i dont think im just talking for my self dont like paying for things you dont get.
Now if its a case that Tim / Ian are just upgrading the system then fine. However i will be a little annoyed if the discount system has gone altogether.

Passwords are a good idea I agree but the problem is if we can password certain 'folders' if you will then it lets the flood gates open for people to host images which may be illegal or copyright.
One person may password a folder of family photos, and only give access to family members...
Though another person may password a folder of person(s) underage being abused, then show this to his pervy mates.
The problem? The owners of the server are held responsible and I'm sure they don't have the man power to go through every Premium member's garage looking for what is safe and what isnt.
Plus like people said, theres no age verfication on this website so Ian and Tim may be held responsible for exposing boobies to young kids.
I'm completely guessing that by offensive you mean nude pictures, I'm sorry in advance if this isnt what you mean.
As you can see from the current Garage format its been designed to hold pictures of cars only really, if you wish to host adult images, then go find a adult host.
back to the topic....
would be nice to have some more premium member offers..

The 5 people who voted to say that they used premium trader scheme are more than welcome to a full refund, and as I discussed in a mailshot out to all traders discounts can still be offered but I'm no longer endorsing traders directly, dealing with the shit of shonky service.
Insurance with Flux is still on, HIC I've got no good feedback about since Phil left.
There will be other discounts and offers, rest assured I'd give everyone something for nothing if I could but without traders onboard this cannot happen. Out of my hands.
In the meanwhile give me complaints in a constructive way. If individual users are a problem I'll act. If the board being a chat room is a problem then I'll act. If thats a load of my ass and Help Zone is actually a nice place for the people that go in there then I don't see the problem tbh.
I honestly will do whatever I can to compensate anyone who is not happy with the removal of the forum but please don't take your ball home because I tidied up somewhere that has not been read for months or posted in for over a year.
I'm a buyer of car parts myself, I'm also a visitor and user to the web site. The difference between me and anyone who is compaining though, I usually do something about it or in the very least make a note of it so either myself of Tim or anyone else can have a go when we're not holding down a full time job as well.
Thanks for the kind remarks from a few people about us upgrading the kernel to the latest version, upgrading the memory on the server to get rid of the 'too many connections' errors, or upgrading to the latest versions of the programming language and the database system to make the place more secure. Oh, sorry - no one noticed those, thanks
