best thing to do mate, is do a job search on the internet for very similar jobs, and see what they are earning, and show him that.

One other thing, does he check your internet LOGS?
he might just know you do fcuk all all day apart from chatting on CS!

nah, not got any proper qualifications, have been sent on some training courses and got a couple of certificates.

and about 5yrs experience

if i got another job it would be a career change i think, doing something else, probably have to take a pay-cut at first tho, so its a last option

I work as a bailiff for a couple of firms who issue high court warrants. Im on more than that and work 4 days a week but its not exactly a job you can walk into. Im the 3rd generation of my family who's become a high court bailiff so I was basically born into it...

this is what piss's me off.

Is a bloke who works from home a few hours drive from the office, he been here 4-5years, earn double my wages and then some.

i've been helping him learn how to use the software and prepare proper drawings as he only designs frames and never done a b'regs application or any foundation settings out etc

so i do quite a bit more than him

if i don't get a pay rise i will quit i think

So basically your a CAD Technician?

I am a trainee one at the moment, and people that i work with been there about 3-4 years are only CAD technicians and do all that e.g. foundation designs, building regs, dealing with client queries and costs. Though i think they do too much they only earn around 16k pa.
