the GT has about 165bhp, 190lb/ft.....

A STANDARD GT rapes a GSi, never mind a 1.4 16v...

jeez, some of you take things a bit far lol
punto GT 0-60 7.6s
corsa sport 10.5s
but as we only went to 45ish and i got a fair bit of a head start the NA engine will have a bit of advantage, yes i accept if we had both set off at same time and he wasn't so lazy on throttle or let of the clutch so quick he would have beaten me.

but i would have thought a redtop would have beaten a GT?

And you keep talking about lag, this is a pretty small turbo running good boost, there aint much lag at all, its only when the setup is large single turbo's does the lag start to create a problem.

Des :- Owner of the Corsa

Will mate are you actually off your trolley??..... when did you pass your test?? i have video proof of my ass getting raped by this punto when i had a 1.4 sport engine as well as a gsi getting raped as well. The corsa even though it is a 2.0 16v is not as quick low in the revs compared to the punto because the turbo spools up and pulls it away from me!!!! trust me any standard XE would struggle against a GT.
