AFM's dont go all of a sudden like that, seems a bit fishy for it to be that. And an AFM should be up an engine management light.

U checked the brake servo hose and stuff to make sure nothing has popped off

Lee now gives people a supplier number and its up to them whether they want to buy the engine them selves or use him. Lee cuts out the middle man by doing this hence whether the engine runs or not is not his problem its the supliers. Lee however will go to great lengths to sort it out even though its not his responsibilty. Its the responsibility of the person to check their engine over or take it up with who ever supplied it. Lee offers a great fitting service and goes out of his way todo all he can to help anyone.

Also the person who supplies these engines also supply cross vaux and regal etc with the exact same engine most people get teathing problems when initally having an engine conversion its the norm. Mine had a few but after that my car did 1K a week for nearly 2 years without any probs...its all down how to you look after it.

The engins reliabilty is deemed on how reliable the car it came out of and doesnt just change over night. Also remembering these engines are from 10-15 years old now

prime example of lees dedication and decentcy is my car died on me on friday not lees fault or nothing but he still took it in despite having lots of work on and its trying to solve it for me. His knowledge and skill on these engines are second to none...i wouldnt take my car anywhere else

i didnt mince about in mine like the others tho, did about 7 or 8 trackdays in a year since it was in. Ragged over 100k miles in 15 years and it would still run if i put it in another car.

its clearly not a problem of lees fault here

lee does possibly one of the best in the uk with the exception of companies that have more time and charge you over double what lee does.
Everyone has problems, i bought mine all fine over xmas,
water pump, alternator, battery, cam belt etc all neded replacing, water pump and alternator were at fault belt and tensioners and batttery was done for peace of mind!

Again i rang lee up on a sunday evening to ask about my car probs even though he has never looked at the engine or fitted it.
He helped me rectify the problem and i got it sorted the next day

the guy is god!!

i do source engines for people as most people cant be arsed to get them themselves. as for faults if u look at my list it says things like clutches, water pumps etc. this is because people dont spend the money to fit new ones at the start. people are buying 15 year old engines and asking me to fit them, the clutch could be 10 years old. id ont know. so if it goes 2 weeks down the line its hardly my fault is it.

arnies car had problems a couple of months after it was fitted. wouldnt start some days i spent days on the car travelling up to his changing bits etc. turned out part of the loom fucked up. no ones fault. i gave him my spare loom which cost me 75 quid for fuck all because of all the problems which was no ones fault.

daimos engine ( supplied himself) had problem with his lifters. i got home from work at 5am then went to his at 8am to see what was up just so he could go to pvs that day

donnas fucked clutch and flywheel (carismas fault) i was round there till 11 o clock somenights repairing it just so she could go to belguim

ive drove corb 40 miles home when his hub broke and had to leave the car at mine

i drove up to northampton to pvd for fad as they delivered the wrong bits one night at 9 o'clock just to get his car back to him for fuck all

ive drove to milton keynes to pick adam b up to collect his car

i spend hours on the phone to customers helping them out like corser when the garage try robbing him to buy a new clutch coz they said the one that was on the engine i supplied was not a vauxhall one. i told him to get pictures and il tell him if its wrong. 2 days later i get a u2u saying car is fine and the old clutch was right and they re fitted it.

this is just some off the stuff ive done for my customers to keep them happy. the amount of running about i do is not worth the money sometimes but i like to provide a good service to them this is why i do it.

Lee is a legend i wont hear anything against him all of the above points lee and fad have described are true.

I knew mine would have teething trouble and both lee and supplier have been excellent in advising me what to do to sort it, nothing more i could ask really!

some peoples own fault, for trying to save money basically. Like me not putting a new clutch in my xe, despite the advice lee gave, when it was all going in, the clutch went 3months later.

xe engines are getting rare now adays. so cost more so my supplier basically takes them out the car and sells then on as they are. if he messed about with them he wouldnt earn anything. with the lets he can make a bit more money on them so when he sells a let it is all stripped down and checked over for melted pistons etc and anything that need replacing is, also ALL the LET's i sell come with sealed heads so wont go pourous, new head bolts, head gasket, sump gasket etc, all cleaned up and painted sometimes.

Lee, do you reckon LET's/XE's are drying up now? Is there a zoo in kent that has trained monkeys building new one's 24/7? It seems that the number of XE's banging about is actually increasing. I guess the engine was made in huge numbers eh.
