would get it checked,had a fire in my car didnt have a fire ext so had to phone 999 they closed the whole of the high street down lolol wanted to cut my battery i said no as i have smooth doors and cant get into car! as electricty is a forum of ignition! in the end cost me £25 to fix! loom needed rewireing! most garages should be able to do it! bet to be safe then sorry!

This seems to be a reoccurring problem with Corsas - my mates corsa burnt out all the wiring to the alternator - it looks very much the same as the photo you put up of Garys.

the slightly modified car is even more slightly modified due to the lack of front bumper
