2.0 corsa does not do 0-60 in 6.5 secs!
Try 7.5-7.8 secs in standard form... few mods and low 7's...

in a few years most standard hot hatches and 1.6's will probably beat 2.0 corsa's

oh yes, back to the original topic if i could start all over again i would go for a 1.4 sport and just stick a 2.0 in it. i only tuned my 1.6 cos i had a spare engine (just in case) although my corsa handles so much better than most 2.0 corsas. ive driven a 1.4 and it wasnt bad, but its really worth going for a 1.6 if ur thinking of tuning it.

You ever taken it down the 1/4 mile? Would of thought the corsa 1.6 would really lack torque?

a corsa 2.0 with the basic mods (exhaust & filter) will do 0-60 in around 6.5 seconds. an astra gsi will do it in about 7.4 in standard form.
anyway, 0-60 is a bad way to measure a cars performance. 1.6 16v corsa (150bhp) vs a 2.0 corsa in a 0-100 sprint. 2.0 will win all day long.

yeh I think a gti would get beaten by corsa - but the gti would get away first imo, then the corsa would pass it... due to the weight... also get to some twisties and the 106 gti will leave the corsa.

How much money did you spend/waste on hottign up a C16XE that was determined to break?
It's hardley a competition, 100BHp vs 150, although I still hold that a small block corsa handles better than a 20XE corsa. although I'm still nto a corsa handlign fan though.

not that much i'd imagine - to be honest I think it's just an excuse people with 1.6 corsa's use to justify wasting their money.

Its an air pump that blows air into the exhaust manifold to heat up the cat faster when the engines cold. You don't even need the pump, its just for emissions.

i would have used an SFi box if i could have
I hardy think a powercap and induction will make diddly squat of a difference..... they lowered my peak torque to just 130lb/ft but spread it further up the rev range...
