yup the sub and amp are both good shiat just make sure you get a decent box made for the sub and that you seal it for best sound
although i have the same comps, i would have saved the pennies and got something alittle better - even the cheap boston comps are a bit better than the infinty's. Either you better get an amp for the comps, otherwise there gonna sound harsh as shiat, even when you drop them -3dB on the crossovers
Also invest in some dynamat, or the stuff that graphicxpress sells (suppose to be a lot easier to lay down ), as you will notice a great difference
only thing i would have said is that you payed over the odds for the stuff - the sub you can get for 140 from CAD and the amp you can get for around 300 quid. The comps can only be got for about 20 quid cheaper, so you didnt really loose out there.
But eitherway, have fun
Dom
p.s - DONT SKIMP ON THE WIRING !!!! get some decent suff in and a decent batter etc

You arent going to see a "healthy power increase" from chipping an n/a 2.0 8v.

make the wiring kit is up to the job though - you want at the worst 4 gauge to the amp(s), but i would get 2gauge going (into distro block, then to 4 gauge) if you pushing alot of power.
although just checking your amp, its the multi-channel version (sr5?)...so your pushing 2x150wRMS to the infinity's (turn the gains down abit because there only 75wRMS) and only 180wRMS to the sub (thats if its the sr5) and the sub can handle 300wRMS already (dunno model but im guessing its the G2 12") - so your underpowering it (G2 subs can handle 300wRMS up to 500wRMS), which is not bad, but its deffo not good if you want another sub.
Personally i would have got the 2 channel amp for the infinitys and then gone down the mono block route with the sub
Eitherway, if you want another sub then you really need a mono block amp pushing atleast 800wRMS @ 2ohm (i believe the G2 subs are 4ohm single coiled) as then it gives you some head room to cut down distortion etc
sorry to be nit-picking etc, but you really should have done some research into this rather than trusting the sales assistants, as there only gonna push you into buying something for their comission etc etc
eitherway, if your worried about any of this then wack a post in the ICE section and richie, me and co will sort it out

2 of those subs will drown out the components, won't they. Time for more components me thinks.

I wonder why they put a mk3 engine in a mk2, the mk2 8v engine was probably just as quick in terms on bhp and weighed less I guess.

Why didnt they just put the mk2 16v engine in? Certainly quicker than the 2.0 8v. Incidently the 2.0 8v only has 3bhp more than the 1.8 8v.
