I've just realised something!

I know who the boy in Leslie bought this from mate, and I also know who did the conversion for him.

Young guy in Leven who does all the conversions about here, fitted my engine for me, and was gonna do my valver till I opted out. I knew I recognised the plate from somewhere, that car was getting done when mine was into his garage getting bits painted!

Ad get it checked like, especially for that engineers report... Get Barry to have a look over it.

Guy who had it built also has a bit of a rep down our way I now remember I got offered it when it was being built down at the garage, used to run on white speedlines.

Is it still booked as 1.2?

the guys prone to using a grinder to every single surface he touches! hes never welded any cars hes had for strengthening. also, i'd be concerned about the 're-built' engine. not tryin to be critical mate. just sayin how it is. jb

Also was a guy in a garage in Leslie that done all the extra work to engine not long ago not the guy that built it.......Guy I bought it off uses this garage in leslie all the time...........Also guy I bought it off done alot of work on it to..SO maybe it wasn't the best when 1st done...........

booked as 1.2 yeah but I'll change that I think..now insured as a 2.0

Hopefully all sorted...Getting receipts and stuff tomorrow to see what was exactly done.

Belts
tensioners
Head gasket
valves
valve guides????? can't remember what else..I'll list when I have all the paperwork..

Seems ok to drive, no clunks or rattles or anything odd..Going to get it on a ramp on Friday and have a wee look about.

Sounds cool mate.

It was more in terms of cowboy conversion shafts and hubs I was afraid of like. Dont be expectin any M-Tech gear under there

Still, looks clean as, was filthy when I saw it, looks like a different car entirely.
