maybe you should start dealing with a solicitor who has wormed other people out of this before?
EVERYONE+dog bangs on about this whole calibration issue, has to be a lead there.

Exactly what I was thinking mate I hate people who don't even drive judging people on speeding - I await the day ally gets a post saying she's been caught doing 34 in a 30 in a area she didn't know at 3am
the thing with dave's, is that it was 3 lanes, the 30 limit would no doubt only be there because there's a lot of rush hour traffic (or something like that) - but this does not effect the road at 1am, so why should a road that's like a normal dual carriageway still carry the same limit at 1am - when a identical road (that doesn't have the rush hour traffic problem) would be national speed limit
This is what annoys me

WTF? Im taking my test in the next few weeks .... therefore i must be able to drive ... otherwise i wouldnt be doing my test
and we arent talking about being 4 miles over the limit .... he was nearly 20 miles over the speed limit.

Yes yes... bla bla... ally. You can drive - I didn't break a single limit when I was learning... it's totally different when your in your car, late at night no traffic about and the road is a wide 3 lane dual carriageway...
Do you feel it is wrong to do over 30 mph on a national speed limit 3 lane dual carriageway? ... No.
Do you feel it is wrong to do over 30 mph on a 3 lane dual carriageway that has a 30 limit - because between the hours of 9am -> 7pm there is a lot of traffic on it...
Yes???? why... when its 1am and no one is about?

I think limits are there for a reason ... and people should stick to them.
Thats my 2 cents
I do break the limits when im driving .... but not by 20/30 mph

well im pretty sure it has to be calibrated that day for it to be accurate.if your lawyers any good he will get you off.
end of the day, whether they back date or not, he was still speeding and should still suffer the consequences no matter what the date, no being harsh here dave, i knwo if it was me speeding, id expect to pay the penelty, im not having a dig at u, what im trying to say is if a relative of someone on here was killed by someone speeding, then theyd want them to pay, no matter how long it took, hence why ts called justice
what if what if what if, what if he hit the last panda couple on earth while they were crossing the road and there was no more hope for the panda cause dave17 hit them?
What if?
He did 59, got caught, let him try to worm out of it.
i quite laughed at this, you're totally missing my point. im not by anyway at all havign a go at dave, everyone speeds yeah, the point im trying to get across quite unsuccessfully is that punishments are there for a reason.
iv been talking to paul, now hes gettin punished hes really learnt from it and wont drive liek that again
whereas a while ago i was in a serious accident, car flipped and wrote off, couple of us injured, i still am quite badly, and yet the wanker driver got out of it, changed the story of what really happened to police, was no witnesses to ask etc, he should have lost his licence for that crash, but he wasnt punished, so yet still drives like a total fkin arsehole puttin his own and other peoples lives at risk because he THINKS hes a good driver, THINKS because hes been driving 3 years hes learnt everything, THINKS hes invincible basically, one day he wont be as lucky as last time and will kill someone, id bet money on it.
this is the point i was trying to get across, if people dont get punished they dont learn!
granted dave i know your situation was entirely different from mine, and im not having a go directly at you, but punishments are there for a reason, if u gte out of this, someoen else few days later might do same and get out of it, someoen who drives worse.

any1 can kill some1 in a car, whos to stop a kid running out from behind a parked van n their head smashing ur front bumper, nothin, so yes, maybe ul kill some1 too
paul: yeh il take some pics of this road, its a very fast road and EVERY1 speeds down there, people think its atleast a 40 limit, no 30mph signposts ( i kno if theres no signposts this makes it a 30 limit)

No the limit is there for a reason that does not apply at 1am... This is why the whole system is a big steaming pile of turd wank
They need variable speed limits - (sign changes number depending on the time of day / condition etc) - except for too many people who don't pay attention, coz they're applying their lip stick or whatever wouldn't notice it and get fucked.
It's only because POLICE want money - they don't care about safety. And thus know that a road that is safe to do national speed limit speeds on at 1am, but has a 30 limit - will be easy picking with their laser guns...
STFU ally, you don't know what your talking about.

Alright Paul, i was just voicing my opinion and i never ment for you to get your knickers in a twist.
everyone has their own opinions when it comes to speeding, im cautious with my speed and believe that limits are there for a reason, no matter what time of the day it is.
You obviously feel differently, so lets leave it at that.

you do think that when your learning to drive. 40mph feels really fast when ur learning. but a few months down the line, ur comfortable with speeds, so u do speed, and think nothing of it. i can guarantee u will speed when u pass.
unit u licence turns pink and have been driving for over 2 years, IMO u know nothing

imo no matter how long youve been driving, you're never fully experienced, and ALWAYS got soemthign to learn, pretty much everyone thinks that they are brilliant invincible drivers, yet theyre not, think this is the biggest problem tbh. my dad has been driving nearly 30 years, granted hes got ALOT of experience but he seems to think hes invincible on roads, yet hes not, it often takes a serious crash or losing licence for peopel to learn.
