so u think it should flash twelve 3 times then the code3 then twelve 3 times

it shoudl flash once then a break, then twice then a break, do this 3 times thats the starter code!

Then it will go through the sensors and find the fault, i.e

33 would be:
3 flashes a pause and 3 more flashes

pause

it would do 3 flashes pause 3 flashes

3 times in a row and then repeat the 12

just looked at that link right near the bottom 1 5 0 3 immobiliser control unit what does the chip look like inside the key, what size is it?

are you sure you have the siemens ecu??
it should be gm multec mpi as found in all x16xe's

i got it sorted chuffed to bits now, got a smile from ear to ear i removed the chip and just held it in different places and hey presto got it working

i had taped the chip from the key to the transponder around the ignition barrel. moved it around and managed to get it working, think it is just sensitive

The gearbox speed sensor has nothing to do with this. You have an immobilizer problem with either the key or the pick up ring around the ign barrel. Normally a key that is not coded to the pickup ring will still start the car but then cut out instantly. Does your car start then cut out? If it does not then you need your car on tech2.

would the fact iv taken off the secondary air pump and egr valve cause the EM light to come on and stay on when it is running, sounds ok, or would no exhaust cause this also?

It could easily cause the light to come on.

It dont have to be in the key it can be sellotaped to the transponder

sticking it in the key would be the safest most reliable option imo

kinda like where its sposed to be

cos if the sellotape undoes after time,
the chip falls out
you aint gonna find it

yea probably safer but u said "it had to be in the key" im telling u it dont and why wont u find it if it falls out. they aint that small

if u have removed it totally then i have no idea how to get the light off, i only know how to blank it off as i have done it myself on my vectra

Mine is taped to the transponder, infact I have 2 chips taped to the transponder
