Kerry try Adrian Flux. They do agreed value policies, which are not that expensive.

If you have paid extra to cover the mods, then they should at least consider them when calculating your settlement

Why would she try Adrian Flux if she trying to settle an accident claim with Tesco

If you bought some Tesco Finest Sausage and it was off would you go to Asda to complain

Dealers would probably consider std to be worth more, also alot of the time modified means poorer general condition (not saying all of the time)

And normally when you see a modified car you assume it's been ragged around alot (with exceptions like the owners an enthusiast or has clearly looked after it)

i think we need a definition of modified, as most people assume it means a sub £8k hatchback with carpark respect mods, or it could be a £40k luxury and the owner has had a dog cage installed or some quality wheels

in this case, i would say the pulsars with 17"s are worth a tiny bit more than one without, but only resale value, not valuation purpose's, and the customers makes that decision

Saying modifications reduce value is a bit drastic....

Standard is worth more, as soon as you start tampering with a car, it 'could' be unreliable, it could be faulty due to be faffed about with, it could attract attention from jealous vandals who envy your car/styling, it becomes hard to sell due to a low range of potential buyers, in a lot of cases modifying a car incures MOT failures..... that's just a few I can think of, I'm sure there's plenty more.
