do you think when your in your 80's you'l be still trying to mod your corsa?
I can picture it now a rusty old heap, with you trying to shoe horn the latest jap engine into its rusty innards

Think the Integrale falls into the Cosworth category. You would have to be a serious enthusiast to own one, reckon it would be off the road a lot of the time!
Looking at it now tho, my P1 only does about 1500 miles a year anyway, managed to rack up a huge 743 miles inbetween 6 months services this time round!!!

2) Cossie - £16,000 for a 10 year old car with a major oil leak and only 3 months major parts warranty!
3) P1 - UK car, 5 years warranty, £1500 insurance, most powerful but my 3rd favourite out of the four
4) Version 5 type R - Import, £4600 insurance, but MINT
Had to settle for the P1 in the end, went a little bit more with my head than my heart but am pretty pleased with my choice! The first time I fired it up and heard 320bhp of boxer 4 blowing through a 5" HKS zorst! MMMmmmm
Insurance is mental on some of them!!! I was in kinda same situation except I limit £10k on car budget wanted an import but insurance was double!!! Just went with a UK Prodrive scooby for now which has cost me much less in all departments, its still very fast, looks/sounds great and puts a smile on my face + I just bought a flat so think it will be a while before Im getting a new one
Once I can afford it & as a 2nd car my choice would be an Escort Cossie - ive always always always wanted 1!!! and I will probably someday!!!

Dont think I could have an E36 M3 Evo convertible. Apart from the posability they must be an all round poorer car then the coupe and that thing is shocking!!!!!!!
E46 might be a different beast tho?

Why do you not like them stu?
Ive never driven one, but ive been in plenty, includig B3.3 alpinas. Think they are lovely cars! A good alrounder.
Ive driven a 328i convertible as me mum has had 2 as well as a 325 conv and a 328 coupe. And a 328 tourer, did i mention my mum and dad like BMW's?

Ive owned an old 325iS & ive drove quite a few E36's - 318i's, 320, 328iS not an M3 yet tho - I see them more as a comfy motorway cruiser than an out & out fun car!!!

I cant understand why you have a car like that if you dont use it much? (unless you are just using it for track days, hence the low miles)

If i had 16k id put 10k down on a house and buy myself something nice for around 6k. Maybe get an Astra van, Spray it black, And get some nice wheels and a few subtle mods done.

Thats what ive done, I got my 250bhp UK Impreza for £5.5k - £595 insurance - spent about £2k on bits & I just stuck £5k deposit down on a Flat & about same again to kit it out........then i'll be totally skint
Edit to say - I got my flat as a repossession and for well under the valuation as it needs a bit of work done - I think going by similar ones sold in the last year i'll make a tidy profit when I come to sell it - dont waste all your money on motors, there totally not worth it!!
Astra van

Yeah a few people say that.........a few reasons:
1) I work in Salford, must be the capital of carjacking!!! Not if your in an Escort 1.4 cabaret tho!!
2) From my front door all the way to work I sit in 20 mins of crawling traffic, no fun at all.........even less fun in a P1! Heavy clutch, dicks pulling in and out, jerky low speed running etc etc all that and a massive petrol bill to boot!
3) Dont want to whack loads of miles on a car that could potentially become a modern classic, need to think about getting some cash back on it!
4) Car is standard bar a PPP pack (320bhp) and its staying that way for reason 3! If you drive a 70ishbhp escort (1.4 16v???) every day for a week, when you get in the P1 at weekend it always feels fast so you dont get bored!
5) I reckon reliabilty could become an issue if you did a lot of miles in a P1
They are the main ones but there are a few more probably!

Lol its definatly the way to go, it would be daft for me in my situation to blow 16k on a car. Dunno why i want an astra van, just fancy one! Always though of an old style low roof tansit van in black with afterburner lights at the back, lowered on some nice wheels. but an astravan is more realistic!
