under screen properties is an option to stretch the desktop between both screens.
Then you just stitch together to wallpapers and apply it to your desktop, sorted

Nope, I have an amazing program that I recommened everyone with dual moniters should get.. its called UltraMon (cant b fecked with link, google it) and it allows seperate screensavers, wallpapers, start menus and pretty much everything for the seperate screens. If have have 20 screens, you can have a different one on each very cool. It also lets you launch specific programs on specific screens if they refuse to do so, which is cool but i've no need for it.. outlook and firefox on one screen, messenger on the other
