Personally I would sell it. I'm a petrol head through and through without a doubt, but you can't hide form the fact that houses make money.
Once you have made the money from your house re-mortgage and make an even better project car.
Just my 2p worth.

£4k isnt gonna make much of a dent when your thinking about buying a house, keep the car & borrow more over the 25yrs....you will hardly notice it & get to keep your motor

Do it stu
Colin makes a good point also, when uve finished with it, sell it, ull find itl still be worth similar money in years to come, so long as condition doesnt deteriorate and youll get some cash back when u have no need for it

Whats wrong with yours stu?
My concept 300 was only £450 fitted, with dual proximity. Ive since added my doors onto it!
What happened to your one? Fixable? Go and speak to chameleon motolec, alltoh IIRC they have changed their fitters and they have a new bloke who is a complete cock as he told me there was no way to pop the doors on my corsa

when you got it the car was trying to split itself anyways
back to subject, Colins made a good point keep the car and take out more money over a longer period of time that way you keep your car
Failing that remember this.. You can Sleep in a Car but you cant drive a house
