when you are driving along all the rain is driven to the back, was not a problem before. They are welded plates and then a skimming of filler. Its gettin doneby koni at colour tec in glasgow and it costs lots of £ fair price for the work that is involved in my car however

I don't know much about resprays but do they always take your kit or bumpers off to do it?

no not always mate. especially not side skirts as most are bonded on aswell as rivetted mine sure are anyway. depends he may have had rust and they needed to take paint right back depends i suppose on state of car how much work is needed for a respray. front bumper obviously needs to come off so can spray front panel etc but again not always possible especially with arches as majority are bonded all.

as above depends what you want, the more you take off the better the finish will be. if you dont take of arches spoilers etc u end up with the paint cracking around there edges and it looks shit
