this is why im being careful, my 'other half' is nearly 21, in 6k of debt and is gettin a 15k loan to buy a CTR

open a high interest savings account that you can only access once or twice a year (to withdraw) and also set up a standing order to take out a certain amount a month (their minimum if u like) the 1k will be a good starting point to a nice savings account which you may very well need in the future.
