he clipped my wheel ever so slightly, it drives fine tho, went to work and back with it today, rallied it a bit and feels fine.

gonna be my cheapest option hopefully he pays cash and it dont get written off

He's taken you for a mug offering you cash. I cannot get my head around why people do this. Take it through insurance as the work will be guranteed and if anything else structually pops up in the future your covered. Also the work would of been done by a decent insurance approved body shop who would charge his insurance company loads ensuring a decent job is done.

You've been butt fucked serially....if you get that sorted for less than £500 I would seriously doubt its been done properly...

this happend to me two years ago:



needed a new rear pannel and offside rear quarter pulling out and the bill came to over £1500

glad i went through the insurance every time

i could have went through insurance but really didnt want car written off which guarenteed would have happened.

for £500 i've found a set of skirts that cover most of the dent and ill pull the rest out. should look ok. will sell it after that

steves gsi wasnt written off and that repair bill came to £1650 through the ins

covers most of it up, just need to get them painted and i can fit them after ive pushed out the dent

not fitting those skirts anymore. popped the dents out, most of them anyway. body shop is gonna tidy it up then re spray the full car

yep as ian said i repair worse than that at work and if it was my own car id rather hav a thin skim off filler than a new panel

trust me you can blag em, they were umming and aring about writing steves off, but he told them he paid 2k for it not long ago and that its quite a rare car and hold to get hold of and they paid out for the repair
