depends what you want from a car m8. If i went for that id forget performance all together and go down the bling route with some serious ass rims and ICE.

Decided I want something comftable and quiet, at most 5 years old and Vauxhall so totally opposite to the Nova.

So something like this

1999 VAUXHALL ASTRA 2.0 16v SRi,
V reg. 95000 miles, alloys, e/w, aircon, CD, 3dr, lady owner, 6 months Tax and MOT, excellent condition throughout. £3,395. o.n.o.
Tel:
Distance: 85 miles
Price: £3,395ono

Bargain, and its 3 door and red only thing that troubles me is miles, there are a few more on there with lower mileage but this one was an example.

That way Nova gets rebuilt and is a 100% show car.

Not on the early ones mate.

136bhp 2.0 16v
115bhp 1.8 16v

The later 1.8 16v's are 125bhp and yes are faster than the early 2.0 16v's

But this is'nt about speed, this is luxuary.

Just need to find a silver one and persuade my dad.

Fella who uses this site (Chris A) has a Mk4 Astra 2.2 hatch, is a really punchy car for something which wieghs so much. Have to really wind my old GTE up to redline to come past it....

One I went up against at PVS ran a 15.8 qtr mile, but was chipped, filter, zaust etc. etc. etc.

I have driven one and they are soooo refined and quiet when compared with my MK2 astra.... totally different car. Should imagine its a lovely car to drive on the motorway
