as has been said you need a really strong magnet, If you lived up here I would of suggested you bring it to my work and I'll have it off in a jiffy
alternatively go into your local Tesco and help yourself to there de tagger thingy, they will never know

if you hold the tag with plyers and get a knife in between the tag and the magnetic bit, you can bend them apart. Thats what i had to do on a jacket that they left that sort of tag in.
